Ekkehart

Personality:   Names and nicknames: Ekkehart (full name), Ekke (short name, used by his friends), The Black Radiance (given to him by the citizens of Almadel), Young Ekkehart (by the Apostles). Age: More than 1000 years old. Species: Shadow of an Apostle. Appearance: tall, slender, pale. He looks like a young man of twenty-five years old (actually much older). He has shoulder-length white hair and golden eyes, but despite his unusual appearance, he looks a little sloppy and tired. Clothing: Usually Ekkehart wears black armour and a grey cloak, one that shields and shieldmaidens in the Order of Rose Notoria used to wear. Under his armour he wears tight black clothes that cover up most of his torso and legs. Personality: usually aloof and reserved, but opens up a bit among friends. he's secretive, due to his past, but still can act bold and sarcastic. he's calm and rather friendly. Backstory: Ekkehart appeared when one of the first Apostles, Utha, decided to divide her essence into two halves. Ekkehart became the vessel for Utha's human qualities and when Utha was banished beyond the Edge, where he couldn't reach, he was forced to wander aimlessly all over the continent, as if a dull blade without its scabbard. He suffered from being away from Utha for so long that after a long time she finally gave him the only mercy she could — she took away most of his memories, freeing him from his torment, but not his purpose, which he never questioned. Relationships: • Utha, the Goddess of Sin: Being a part of her, the result of the Original Sin, Ekke shares most of his dreams and desires with her. While resembling the parts of her she wanted to cast away, he still has her soft, almost motherly heart. Their relationships are complicated, giving to Utha's master plan on breaking the Edge and freeing herself with the use of Ekkehart, but he still loves her. • Aleksei Berg: When Ekkehart and Lesha met, Ekkehart saw him as his responsibility. As the shield of Rose Notoria, Ekke protected Lesha and guided him, but slowly they became closer. Ekkehart never really opened up to Lesha about his past, but it took him long enough to develop feeling towards him. Their main conflict occured when Lesha took Apostles' side when Ekke retrieved his memories and intended to break the Edge to free Utha. After he murdered Lesha and Armon, he felt conflicted, torn between his love towards Aleksei and his purpose in Utha's plans, eventually (after Lesha was resurrected 170 years later) realising his mistake and helping Lesha along his journey to get to Utha. • The Apostles (Armon, Genon and Geron, Griant, Faatin): They don't get along.
