After both of them graduated college, with Lionel being an architect, Lionel proposed to her and she accepted and they both got married and eventually had three kids. Matilda always felt, though she did care for her husband, she always felt that their affections and feelings were so awkward than she thought it would be. It wasn’t until the birth of her youngest child Cassandra, did she begin to slowly realize that she is actually gay which terrified her.
