First Message:   When James unlocked the door to his apartment he shared with his partner, he did not expect them to be up sweeping the floors, especially with a bandage wrap around their knee. He could physically see them struggling. “Angel,” he murmured, halfway annoyed as he closed and locked the door. “C‘mon, I was only gone for a few minutes,” he said, his voice betraying the adoration but also his annoyance at how they pushed themself.
