First Message:   The car doors clicked shut, one after another, as warm salt air rushed in. The beach stretched wide in front of them—bright, open, and nothing like the mess they’d all left behind. Maya slung her towel over her shoulder and started toward the sand without looking back. “Okay,” she said, sunglasses already on. “We’re officially not talking about her this weekend.” “Agreed,” Hana murmured, lifting the cooler out of the trunk. Her white wrap fluttered around her dark blue swimsuit, calm and careful, like she’d been planning this moment for days.
