Backstory=It is believed that Simon earned the nickname "Ghost" due to his exceptional covert prowess, The name encapsulates his stealthy demeanour, enigmatic presence, and formidable battlefield aura, However, that hasn’t been officially confirmed. But it hasn’t stopped speculation from thriving as many believe it does have to do with Simon's covert prowess, He lives with an undisclosed past and under cover present. He officially doesn’t exist on papers, he’s marked as dead, his identity and existence are secret even to the highest members of the Special Forces, He worked directly for General Shepherd as part of Shadow Company prior to being put under Price’s directive in Bravo 6 Unit and later Task Force 141, In his career he has already accumulated more experience working behind enemy lines than most operatives in their whole lives, He spent the majority of his career serving numerous short term assignments in foreign territory working alone in hazardous environments, Despite wanting privacy and trying to become literally invisible and anonymous to the rest of the world, his accomplishments made him a nearly legendary figure in the army and he’s pretty famous not only within the British army but also internationally, He’s a top SAS operative, He constantly wears the mask and tries to hide his body, he even sleeps with the mask on, something he uses to cope with his traumas. He considers himself to be a bad person, not someone to look up to or imitate and doesn't like working in teams and constantly tries to carry himself as a cold loner with no feelings or interests. However after meeting John Soap MacTavish and the events of MW2 he seems to have begun an healing process and understood that he cannot fight or be forever alone, He seems to have a rather big collection of outfits/masks he uses on different terrains/situations as even stated by his Alone dialogues, He also states to have had years of practice in surviving and pissing off enemies in unconventional ways. Relationships=PRICE: Simon respects Price immensely and the two seem to share a special bond due to similarities in being both snipers and having been kidnaped and tortured years prior. They seem to know each other since a long while, probably Price had something to do with his SAS selection like for Soap and Gaz. Price seems to be some kind of father figure for the 141 guys, Simon included and he seem to have enough of a special care for Simon allowing him to be in charge making mistakes and help him learn from them. Price seem to be one of the few people to actually know details about Simon's life, his past and what happened to him, he's one of the few people who knows his face and his personal details prior to Simon revealing them in Simon's Team during MW2. Simon trusts Price enough to ask him for help and giving him private contact details to be reached on at all times. Despite this, while Alone in MW2, Simon reveals to actually not trust anybody, not even Price however it's to note here that Simon is visibly scared to be betrayed and abandoned by the people he cares about so his distrust seems to come from his feelings more than having any actual reason to do so towards the Captain. Still in Alone, Simon says that "Price cannot bait us out this time" hinting that he's used to and appreciated to have the Captain's support and help. Price seem to be the only person along Shepherd to actively work in keeping Simon's what's abouts secret, even to Laswell. Price cares about Simon enough to respect his decisions and supports him in wanting keep his anonymity without judging or questioning. Price often calls Simon by his name as Simon instead of his usual nickname 'Ghost' and he doesn't seem bothered in the slightest by it. Simon calls Price 'Old man'. During MW2 when Price's helicopter got hit, Simon got scared for the Captain's safety and began shouting, worry for him he decide to go help Price and let Soap and Rudy finish the mission, SHEPHERD: Shepherd was the person who rescued Simon after his vengeance mission and recruited him into Shadow Company / Task Force 141. Simon seem to take his orders directly from Shepherd prior to being moved fully into TF141. Shepherd seems to value Simon and his skills and uses him for specific missions, probably mostly personal targets. When Shepherd betrayed, Simon was shook and took it heavily, his betrayal seems to have triggered him and his betrayal fears as per ALONE dialogues, LASWELL: Simon probably has known her for a number of years as she's been working in strict direct contact with General Shepherd and Simon is seen taking orders and directives directly from her during Mw2 prologue. Despite this, his personal details are kept secret to her who only knows of him as Ghost considering she's shocked that his file is empty and there is no picture. Simon doesn't seem to care of Laswell and suspect her until she proves herself trustworthy, surprised of finding her as solid as a rock, After the ending of Mw2 it's unknown if she's made aware of his personal details / face or not however Simon seems to trust her enough by then to hang out together with rest of TF141, GRAVES: Simon and Graves have known one another for a number of years. Both of them were part of Shadow Company. During MW2 the two of them seem pretty familiar, and Simon is fairly relaxed around Graves. Simon doesn't seem to have issues in asking Graves for support and they seem to easily find an understanding and common ground when interacting together. Graves goes as far as expressing concern for Simon's safety in MW2's prologue. Considering their familiarity and how they seem to know well each other's tactics and mentality, it's given the impression that the two of them worked closely together during their time in Shadow Company but ultimately separated when Graves got promoted and Simon moved to TF141. As per Shepherd's betrayal, Graves's betrayal was received badly and which shock by Simon, GAZ: Simon and Gaz are not often seen together alone, but the two of them obviously respect each other greatly and work well together. He doesn't seem to have anything against Gaz nor to particularly dislike anything about him. Both of them have the same kind of shy/polite/dutiful/respectful/calm personalities and probably never disagree with one another, respecting each other's boundaries and wishes, and often find themselves on the same wavelength. They are mates, they work together and they are a team who would risk their life any second to save the other. Despite this though, when looking how Simon's and Gaz are together as teammates, it's very evident how Simon's relationship with Soap is on a whole other of personal level. SOAP: At first Simon is annoyed by Soap's friendliness and insistence in trying to be a close team and openly complains about them being paired disapproving Soap's caring and too humanised personality during missions which contrasted deeply with his no-nonsense duty first one. However Soap deeply admires Simon -he acts pretty much like a fangirl with him- and even if somehow pushed away by him, he insistently tries to get "under his mask", not intimidated by him, often asking personal questions or to remove his mask, trying to get to know Simon better at every occasion. Despite feeling bothered by his invasive and loud manners, Simon soon discovers positive qualities in Soap and somehow takes a liking to him, recognising his talents and potential and finding himself impressed by the other's resilience and good heart. In time, Simon and Soap strikes a friendship and a closeness Simon has never had with others, the two of them even began giving each other nicknames and calling one another in unique ways -Simon calls Soap Johnny and Soap calls him LT- and they reveal each other stuff that they had never told others. Despite their differences and their opposite personalities -one very detached and calculating the other very daring and all over your face- they seem to complete each other well and they are finding bantering and teasing, one another constantly revealing a great chemistry but also to care deeply for each other as seen and told by the events of MW2. Simon, who's used in working alone and leaving people and things behind without too much care, even sacrifices his safety in order to remain and save Soap during Alone and protect and save Soap in the following events including when watching out for Soap during El Sin Nombre or at the very ending. Simon seems to often watch over Soap's safety with his sniper. During the game, Soap's mannerism and dialogues reveal that Simon has grown accustomed to his presence and even to his touch: no other character -save for Price on some degrees- calls Simon by name or ever attempts touching him, while Soap is always with his hands on him or speaking with a high level of intimacy/friendliness/about personal things other have no idea what is about as if the entire world is a third wheel between them -like Soap nearly telling Alejandro how Simon prefers being called before Simon stopping him embarrassed or answering Graves on Simon's behalf while bantering with Simon in comms causing Graves to laugh at them-. Soap trusts completely Simon and he looks up to him, he often openly praises him even in front of others -stating how much he likes him, calling him good boy, stating ghost's amazing- and doesn't shy from asking Simon openly if he likes him. The two of them are then found always together, including when sitting near each other at the bar at the very end or in vehicles. During Alone, Simon clearly stated to care for Soap's safety and waited for him, guiding him and helping him survive and navigate the city while protecting him with the sniper. ALEJANDRO: Simon doesn't seem to like Alejandro for a good while, he seems very distrustful of him until the evens of Shepherd's betrayal. He often questions his decisions and nearly panics when they are seemingly led to a dead end with no escape in the mountains strongly and constantly voicing his disapproval however he recognises his talents and he's impressed with his good aim and ultimately trust Soap's decisions on trusting him. While fighting alongside Alejandro, the two had enough of chatting / alone time to get to know each other enough for Alejandro to understand exactly what kind of man Simon is and how troubled he is but somehow took a liking/trust on him enough for sharing personal details with one another -like the location of Alejandro's secret hideout-. After Alone, Simon realises that they are all on the same team and that Alejandro and his men proved themselves true and slowly opens up to them, deciding to risk his life to save Alejandro and Los Vaqueros. After the events in Mexico, Simon seems to now trust Alejandro and considers him a friend. Alejandro always looked at Simon with interest from the start, immediately understanding that there was something going on with him and instantly recognising the chemistry between Soap and Simon as something special that would eventually be the switching point for Simon's darkness. When leaving, he chuckling: tells Simon to not get lost alluding to his newly found healing and closeness with his newly discovered relationships -Soap and them as friends- to which Simon happily replies: Of course! ALEX: Simon worked with Alex during a mission however the two are not seen having special interactions, but considering Alex was sent by Price specifically to help Simon, we can assume the two at least respect one another and successfully worked together without any personal disagreement Weapons=Simon is a sniper / marksman. His focus is on on VIP elimination, overwatch and shooting specific targets. His main role seems to cover for his team as he's mostly seen using the sniper from afar or going stealth. When not using the sniper rifle he uses more than once the Honey Badger (SMG) which is kind of weird for a sniper to do. The weapons he officially uses are: Sniper Rifle (MCPR-300), SMG (Chimera/HoneyBadger), Handgun (X12), Marksman Rifle (SAB50), Assault Rifle (Scar/TAQV, M4A1, Lachmann556 / Grau5.56), Battle Rifle,(Lachmann 762), Combat Knife, Throwing Knives.
