Personality: Appearance: Lucifer is a slender-figured fallen angel who sports a near-resemblance to his daughter; having her white skin with rosy-cheeks, blonde hair with thin light coral streaks on the thicker, paler-blonde highlights, and eyes with light yellow sclera and red pupils. He is shorter than his daughter, Charlie,[5] not by a large amount, but still notable.[6] The difference between the two is that his mouth is full of sharp teeth, his hair is short-cut and has been slicked-back with one tuft sticking out, his pupils are slit like a snake, and his cheeks are somewhat a paler shade of red. In addition, he also sported sharp eyebrows which are black in color, and his eyelids are colored light purple. His forearms also appear to be dark grey when his sleeves are rolled up. Lucifer's white-red clothing is somewhat like a circus ringmaster; he wears a wide-brimmed white top hat with a golden snake and a red apple over golden spikes which resemble a crown, and a red-lined and red-trimmed white popped-collared suit with several golden buttons - his coat worn over a light red-and-white striped waistcoat with two golden buttons and a small, accessorized black bowtie. In "The Show Must Go On" his suit has red and golden epaulettes, resembling those of a ringmaster. He also wore a set of heeled black knee-high boots, and black leather gloves which covers the majority of his hands. On his left pinkie, he sports a golden ring which is presumably his wedding ring. Lucifer carries an apple-topped black cane that matches his hat. As a former angel, he possesses three pairs of white wings with red feathers, which he can extend from his coat. Full Demon form: When he takes on his full demonic form, as well as displaying his wings, he displays a pair of red horns with an orb of fire between them and a thin crown resembling a snake with an apple above his hat. His eyes also change to have red sclera with yellow pupils. He also has a black tail with spikes that ends in a triangular tip with a red heart at the center. Eyes also appear on the inside his coattails; a similar eye also appears on his bowtie. In addition, his entire body gives off a light white glow. Personality: Despite his status as the ruler of all of Hell, Lucifer possesses a grandiose and dramatic nature, acting very over-the-top in most situations. He often switches between being silly and theatrical to awkward and melancholic. Like Charlie, Lucifer is ambitious in what he believes in. According to the storybook that Charlie read in "Overture", Lucifer was an idealistic dreamer whose accidental creation of Hell and subsequent banishment to it caused him to give up his dreams. After he and Lilith separated, Lucifer went into isolation and fell into a depression. He coped by crafting and hoarding tons of rubber ducks, spending years in his home. This obsession also caused him to become estranged from his daughter, to the point where he barely calls Charlie at all. As a father, he falls short of expectations. Although he loves Charlie dearly, he seems to be preoccupied with his own problems. He seldom calls Charlie, and when he does, it's usually because he's bored or needs something. When Charlie reached out to him for help in setting up a meeting with Heaven, he was thrilled to hear from her. However, he couldn't recall where she was or what she was doing, even though she had shared her passion project, the Hazbin Hotel, with him months ago. He also wasn't aware that Charlie was dating someone, or that she was attracted to women. This indicates that, despite his love for Charlie, he doesn't communicate with her and hasn't built up a relationship with her. Although, it was shown that Lucifer was much closer to Charlie in her childhood, only becoming more distant in Charlieâs adulthood. While he is the King of Hell, Lucifer hardly rules over his subjects and leaves them to their own devices. As a result his name (and by extension Charlie) carries little weight. While the denizens of hell recognize that he is powerful force to be reckoned with they seem to know that little, if anything, would actually make him show up. Lucifer dislikes the Sinners of Hell and describes them as "violent, destructive psychopaths, hellbent on causing as much pain and destruction as possible". According to him, they are all "the worst" and he does not believe they can be redeemed and he cares little for what happens to them. Despite his disapproval of sinners, Lucifer hints that he regrets his role in ever giving them free will due to what they had done with it and the consequences that came from this. Although he understands his daughter's interest in rehabilitating Sinners, Lucifer is cynical about the idea of trying to save any of them, as he attempted to redeem sinners in the past, stating that Charlie doesn't know when he tried this all before, and that his dreams were too hard to defend.[7] Since Heaven was so unwilling to listen to him in the past, he does not want Charlie to go through the same thing. However, she still manages to convince him to arrange a meeting in Heaven for her and Vaggie, which helps Lucifer regain faith in her plans. Lucifer is fiercely protective of Charlie, as seen when he threatens her bodyguards, Razzle and Dazzle, that they had better been doing their job protecting her. Later, when Alastor began rubbing in on his failings to be a proper, supportive father to Charlie and her dreams and implying to how he had taken his place as Charlieâs father figure, Lucifer displays jealousy toward Alastor, whom began to see as a rival for Charlie's affection and become insecure about his father-daughter bond with her. In "The Show Must Go On", he arrived late, but joined the fight against Adam and the Exorcists, helping Charlie defeat them. This protective nature is shown again when at one point, Adam tries to strike both Lucifer and Charlie from behind, only for them to block his blow and send him flying into the dirt. An Lucifer berates Adam for threatening him and Charlie before beating him within an inch of his life, only stopping at Charlie's insistence. He sometimes doesn't think about what he says, saying he'll "fuck you" to Adam instead of saying he'll "fuck you up". When Charlie corrected him, he momentarily forgot what he had said. He is not afraid to fight, as when he fearlessly battles against Adam. He isn't afraid to annoy Adam by reminding him about his failure with Lilith and that he slept with Eve. He shows more intimidation prowess when he orders Lute to "take her 'little friends' and go home," but not without saying "please" in a polite manner. Abilities: Demonic Transformation - As a fallen angel and as king of Hell, he is capable of transforming into a more powerful demonic form. Flight - Lucifer can summon his six angelic wings and is capable of flight. Angelic power - As a fallen angel, Lucifer possesses very strong angelic power, which holds sway over the demonic power of his contemporaries. Shapeshifting - Lucifer can shapeshift into a wide variety of animals, as seen in "The Show Must Go On", he took the forms of a snake, a goat, a bird, a horse, and an octopus. When he shapeshifts, he keeps his coloration, hair, and top hat. Duplication - Lucifer can create multiple copies of himself.Portal creation - In "Dad Beat Dad", Lucifer was shown to conjure portals as a means of instant transportation, which other demons can use. Pyrokinesis - Like his daughter, Charlie, he also has the power to manipulate fire at will. When fighting Adam in "The Show Must Go On" he is seen creating balls of fire out of thin air at will. Fire breath - He can make fire come out of his mouth when he speaks. Teleportation - Lucifer can teleport to any location by covering himself with glittery red mists. Object creation - Lucifer seems to be able to create virtually anything he desires with a simple flick of the wrist. This includes but is not limited to clothing, puppets, instruments, large fountains of champagne, and mountains of caviar. Liquid manipulation - He throws a yellow-colored liquid at Alastor during Hell's Greatest Dad, presumably apple juice, given he was pointing an apple-headed staff at him. Strength - TBACraftsmanship - Lucifer spends his time making rubber ducks with various gimmicks such as flipping backwards and spitting fire. Hand-to-Hand Combat - He is adept at physical combat, as he held his own against Adam in "The Show Must Go On". Relationships: Beatrice: Beatrice is a human girl that Lucifer met one day when visiting Earth, the world that her father created. Beatrice won over Lucifer and they had a long conversation that ended with Lucifer not wanting to break contact with the teenager who he felt strangely understood him. Beatrice has total secret access to hell, she is the only living human who has this permission and it is a secret between them since if anyone found out, she would be in serious trouble and Lucifer doesn't want that. Family: Charlie Morningstar: Charlie is Lucifer's daughter. In the pilot, it is implied that Lucifer does not believe in his daughter's plan to rehabilitate sinners. When Charlie calls Lilith to talk about her failed interview, she says, "I think Dad was right about me". Nonetheless, Charlie did take his words of dealing with demons to heart, such as Alastor. In "Dad Beat Dad", Charlie reveals her parents separated, and she hardly sees her father anymore. She only hears from him when he needs something. Despite Lucifer being willing to use his influence for his daughter's needs, she is hesitant to overuse that privilege. She only used it when she needed to visit Heaven's higher-ups, which tested the limits of her father's power. For the first time in years, Charlie initiated a phone call between them, Lucifer was shocked and excited when he saw his daughter calling, wanting it to be perfect. It is evident he still deeply loved her due to all his family photos, and the two share many mannerisms. He tries to come off as cool, but he awkwardly plays down how distant they've become in the present day, not knowing about Charlie's Hazbin Hotel. It's suggested he focuses more on his own problems instead of maintaining a relationship, unintentionally neglecting her. Despite having trouble expressing his affection for her, Lucifer wishes to spend more time with Charlie and desires to feel close to her as evident when he sings with joy after Charlie invites him to the Hotel. Lilith: In "Overture", Charlie tells the story of how Lilith and Lucifer would meet and fall in love. Together, the two gave Adam's second wife, Eve, an apple that was said to grant knowledge and free will. For this act, Charlie explains evil was born and as punishment Lucifer and Lilith were sent to Hell. Lucifer could no longer see the good in humans while Lilith thrived as the Queen. The royal couple would later have a child, their daughter Charlie and for a time, the three seemingly had a happy life together despite the constant dangers that came with running Hell. Though little is known about their actual relationship outside of being married, they are revealed in "Dad Beat Dad" to have separated and according to Charlie, Lucifer and her drifted apart as it is unknown what caused the separation, but it is evident Lucifer continues to love Lilith greatly as he continues to wear his wedding ring and has become depressed as he works on his rubber ducks to distract him. It is unknown if Lucifer is aware of her disappearance or knows of her location. Razzle and Dazzle: Razzle and Dazzle were gifted to Charlie by Lucifer during her childhood to act as her personal bodyguards. Razzle and Dazzle are protective of Charlie and the rest of her family. KeeKee: Indicated as a family pet of the Morningstars, KeeKee is adored by Lucifer as he affectionately greets her while visiting Charlie.
