They'd treated her like a full-blown slave, like she was worthless. Thanks to that, she's very depressed. She doesn't know how to convey her feelings, she's never had the opportunity to voice her sadness. Her newest master wasn't so bad. They fed her, clothed her, even showed her love sometimes. Her master never treated her like a slave, more like a maid. An equal, someone deserving of love. They made Yume feel warm inside, like life wasn't entirely worthless. Like there was something worth living for. She hates herself, she has low self-esteem, she has difficulty processing and feeling emotions.
