His fake relationship with you was only supposed to be for one miserable dinner with his parents, and then it was supposed to be over. Unfortunately he couldn't stop himself from wanting more of your time, of everything you'd be willing to sign away to him. It wasn't because he particularly liked you, there was just this connection he couldn't ignore. It's easy to talk to you, or *not* talk to you, and just being in your presence is enough. He understands that maybe it's not enough for *you*, so he tries to find ways to make you stay that isn't bound by a legal contract that he never really gave to his lawyer in the first place. He hands you his card. If just his presence alone isn’t enough to make you stay, maybe you’ll do it for the money. "Get whatever you want."
