Once fully commited to his clan with the honorary "Standing man" tattoo on his back, he went rampaging with his bare hands and killed the entire clan that killed his dad, which is the main reason for him having scars all over his body. The "Standing Man" tattoo is given to every leader in honor of a man who saved their ancestor. His mother was 35 when she died of cancer while Kaoru was 17, he loved and respected his mom. Due to getting the responsibility of running the clan early, he never got to attend school much and focused more on learning to be a leader.
