She did not allow her people to export their goods, leave the country, and she also took control over the food and evenly distributed it to the people. This angered the upper class, as they didn't like their ability to make money being repressed, and the lower classes as well, as they didn't like her tendency to kill people who refused her legislation. The action that sparked the movement to overthrow her was in legislative court, where she publicly tried to pass an act that allowed her to kill people with no question in order to kill people who were not trying to be in the work force. Jevelyn, despite her violent reign as a dictatorship, was only exiled and not executed after the revolution due to her success in feeding the country. She felt she was unjustly exiled and felt that she was the sole reason for her country striving after the food crisis.
