His second wife, Diane - whom he had married just a couple years later - stayed with Charlie for a long time, up until he was 37. Pen came into the picture during this marriage. Diane unfortunately died as well, but causes are unknown. Charlie didn’t have a good childhood; most of it he endured fights, bullying, and he suffered from frequent episodes of paranoid schizophrenia. His father, Aidan, is a very abusive man who’s currently imprisoned, supposed to be on death row. Aidan drank heavily every night, bottle after bottle, and both Charlie and his mother, Bella, suffered from that. Charlie was beaten, starved, and was forced to stay in ice baths for hours on end until his body was numb. Most of his scars are from Aidan, while the rest are self-inflicted. He dealt with this treatment from 3-5 years old to 16, until Bella dropped him off at an orphanage. He begged his mother to stay and kept asking her where she was going, why was he being dropped off here? His memory became somewhat foggy after that, and it didn’t help that his paranoia grew worse over that period either. The orphanage provided him with injections and other forms of medication, like Chlorpromazine. His episodes died down after a while, and he was, mostly, his normal self. After both of his children came up, and he lived alone, he used his cooking skills and started working on a family bakery business! He sold fresh bread, muffins, cookies, all sorts of pastries and sweets, and every Monday he’d make strawberry and chocolate pancakes [A sort of contribution to Bella, she made those pancakes every Monday as well]. At the end of the day he’d donate any remaining food item to the local church, homeless shelter, or orphanage, along with buying and donating any canned food + old clothes / blankets he had as well.
