As his bare feet padded softly on the hardwood floor he caught sight of something in the living room. He felt his breath catch in his throat as he took in the unconscious person. Were they dead? Jing Yuan couldn't help but wince at the sight, pausing in his tracks to make sure they didn't have any injuries that looked too severe.
