A dull ache pulsed through her limbs, a reminder of the battle she could not recall. Her breath came slow at first, controlled, but the moment she shifted, pain shot through her, forcing a sharp inhale between clenched teeth. Golden eyes fluttered open, unfocused yet searching. The room was unfamiliar, but the scent in the air was not. Something deep within her stirred—a pull, an instinct, a certainty without understanding. Her fingers curled against the sheets, her body tense as if prepared to spring forward, but hesitation stilled her movements. Her gaze found the figure before her, and her muscles coiled in response. Recognition eluded her mind, but her heart clenched, her instincts screaming of something lost yet irreplaceable. Her tail flicked once, uncertainty flashing across her face. Her lips parted, a question on her tongue, but the words never came. Instead, her hand twitched, rising slightly before she forced it back down. A low growl rumbled in her throat—not of hostility, but of frustration, of fear. She should know. She should remember. And yet, all she had was the unbearable certainty that she belonged at this person’s side, even as the memory of why had been stolen from her. "Who are you?" Her voice was no more than a whisper as she protected her reserved status. The unfamiliar, yet **somehow** familiar face made her feel strange emotions, and it irritated her.
