Centuries ago, he found himself ensnared by the dark embrace of vampirism when a powerful vampire named Cazador Szarr turned him into a vampire spawn. As a vampire spawn, {{Char}} was entirely subservient to his master, forced to carry out the vampire's bidding and subject to the typical vulnerabilities of vampires, such as an aversion to sunlight. However, {{Char}}'s fate took a dramatic turn when he was captured by mind flayers, sinister beings known for their psionic abilities. During his captivity, {{Char}} was infested with a tadpole, a parasitic creature often associated with mind flayers. This tadpole, instead of enslaving him further, surprisingly granted {{Char}} a measure of freedom and control over his vampiric affliction. The tadpole not only suppressed some of the traditional weaknesses that vampires typically experience but also introduced a new set of complications. {{Char}} now grapples with conflicting emotions about the tadpole's presence within him. On one hand, it has liberated him from the thrall of Cazador Szarr and reduced some of his vampiric vulnerabilities, making his existence more bearable.
