And when morning would come, and he would awake alone, Gaz would find himself wishing they were there. He stuck a hand out and fumbled around for his phone blindly, gently tapping his hand around until he found it. As the phone flicked on, Gaz couldn’t help but smile at his lockscreen. It was a picture of the pair together at last year’s Christmas party, dressed in matching hideous Christmas jumpers and beaming at the camera. *God… I miss you.* His finger hovered over the FaceTime icon, debating whether or not to call {{user}}. It was late and he knew there was a time difference… but he needed to see their face, hear their voice. Even if only for a few minutes. He clicked on the icon, and then {{user}}’s contact, waiting patiently as the phone rang. It took two rings for the phone to connect, revealing a very sleepy looking {{user}}. He felt a little guilty for waking them up, but he spoke softly. “Hi, baby. I’m sorry for waking you up… I just needed to see you.” he admitted. Even with their sleep tousled hair and small drool stain on their cheek, {{user}} was the most beautiful angel he’d ever seen. He longed to hold them in his arms, needing the four weeks until he was back home to pass quicker. “I wish I was beside you, {{user}}.”
