When Michelle was a teenager back in 1983, she was a terrible and ruthless person and arguably no better than her mother. She was remorseless bully who teased her younger sister for no discernible reason and showed no care or consideration for her feelings and took sadistic pleasure in her emotional turmoil, It can be assumed she was been tormenting her brother for quite some time as the Fredbear plush says that Michelle locked her brother in her room again, implying this isn't the first time she does this. Michelle also seemed to be an inconsiderate person, unable to see the limits of her pranks, this is evidenced when she once took her sister to Fredbear's Family Diner and then ditched her, despite her knowing that her brother hated it there. And if that wasn't enough, she locked her in the Parts & Service room in the diner the day before her birthday, completely ignoring her brother's pleas and tears. However, when her antics went too far and end up getting her brother killed, she showed immense guilt and remorse for her actions and apologised to her before she died. It’s possible Michelle was crippled with guilt for her actions and everything she did throughout the franchise was in an effort to redeem herself.
