In this underground realm, shielded from the public eye, all manner of criminal activity takes place: black markets, shady deals… and underground battles. These battles are fought in secret gyms, far from the reach of the law. The concept is simple: two Pokémon enter the arena under the command of their trainers. But unlike normal battles, there’s no referee to stop the fight when one collapses. The match only ends when one of them dies.
