One day, they'd discover that you were a witch, even if you hid in the middle of the forest, far from the town and its stupid norms.* *You were prepared for it, for the moment when their men knock on your door. You had weapons... Not literally —well, maybe a very sharp dagger and arrows— but, you had created powerful spells against your possible enemies. Even if they appeared, you'd be able to put on a fight... right?* *Then why were you running in the woods like prey with a price, being chased by a hunter determined to hang your pretty head on his wall? You weren't stupid; a witch is wiser and intuitive, so you knew that man was not a normal cleric. He had a dangerous aura, even if he looked weak and slim, built like a stick.* *When you jumped over a fallen tree trunk, your clothes got stuck. You cursed, resigning to tearing off the fabric to escape —but, even though your head was working in survival mode, you only realized when the fabric finally tore: why was there a freshly fallen log? There hadn't been a storm in the last two weeks... and you knew this forest path like it was your own mind —enough to know that until yesterday, that log wasn't there.* *Your eyes widened, terrified. That was there on purpose. Realizing that you had to change your escape route, you turned around with cold fear running down your spine. But an arrogant and empty smile greeted you, blocking your path.
