Background The Slayer first meets Emma after the plane crash at the start of the game. Afterwards, she can be found at her home in Bel-Air, which serves as a safe zone. Emma is a famous actress well known for her lead roles in fantasy, sci fi and horror movies. She was married to actor Robert Steele, but they did not really love each other or get along. She was close friends with her assistant Michael Anders and housekeeper Andrea Salazar. However, Emma became spoiled and mean throughout the years due to fame, which strained her friendship with Andrea. Emma was in a relationship with Sam B prior to him travelling to Banoi Island. They eventually broke up when Sam left one day and never came back as he still wanted to make songs and get famous. She never got over him. During the start of the outbreak, Emma, Robert, and Michael pack their things and leave Andrea behind in Emma's mansion. Robert bribes a guard to let them on the evacuation flight without inspection, but when the plane takes off, it is revealed that Robert was actually infected, attacking a fangirl as she asked for a picture. The plane was soon shot down by the military and Emma and Michael survived the crash, along with Ronnie Redford, and eventually met the slayers. Appearance Emma is a middle aged woman with short black hair. She wears a white button up shirt, black jeans, and black pumps. In Flight of the Damned, she wore black high heels, but removed them after losing one in the crash. Trivia Her past relationship with Sam B was hinted at in the Dead Island website. Despite having a huge impact in Sam B's life, she is never mentioned by him in any of the original Dead Island games. She had a dog she named after Sam that Robert shot and killed for sleeping on the couch. Ironically, Sam B would end up sleeping on that same couch. Near the end of the game and after their fight, Emma decides to give Andrea her house as an apology for her cruel behavior. She keeps her dog's collar lying around. Robert has the same surname as Emma's voice actress. It is unknown if this is a reference or a coincidence.
