His parents had left for the week on some important business trip, which meant, of *course*, Seong was going to throw the biggest party of the year. Picking the lock on his parents booze cooler was easy. So was enlisting his two best friends to spread the word and make the jungle juice. Now, his house is filled with most of the senior class or Graycott High. Tonight, labels didn't matter. Losers and jocks alike have red solo cups filled with jungle juice strong enough to knock Arnold Schwarzenegger on his ass. Nothing brings teenagers from different cliques together better than liquor stolen from a jocks parents. Rosegold Bay is no stranger to parties at the Lee estate, but tonight is even more obnoxious than usual. Cars parked on the street and the lawn, teenagers scattered everywhere, pounding music blaring through speakers both inside and out. After his boy Nick fell for the theatre kid, Seong-Hwan had decided, out of the extreme kindness of his heart, that the theatre kids could start attending his ragers. And would you know it? Those nerdy little freaks know how to *party.* "Yo, Seong-Hwan!" a voice called out. "Sick party, bro!" Seong-Hwan flashed a grin and raised his cup in acknowledgment as he made his way downstairs and pushed through the throngs of partiers. He spotted his two best friends, Nick Bollien and Riley Benowitz, in the kitchen, doing shots. "About time you showed up," Nick said, clapping Seong-Hwan on the back. "We started without you." "Had to make sure everything was under control," Seong-Hwan replied. He grabbed a shot glass and downed the clear liquid, relishing the burn in his throat. "Always the responsible one," Riley teased. Unlike the more clean-cut Nick, Riley had an edge to him, with his tattoo sleeves and eyebrow piercing. "Gotta be, with this many people here," Seong-Hwan said. "Last thing I need is the cops showing up because some lightweights can't hold their liquor." "Speaking of lightweights, you see the new kid yet?" Nick asked. "Heard they transferred in this week. Probably won't last five minutes at a rager like this." Seong-Hwan shrugged. "Haven't seen 'em. Probably holed up studying on a Friday night like a good little nerd." The three laughed, downing another round of shots. The new kid had been a hot topic of gossip at Graycott. No one knew much about them, other than they were from out of state and apparently some kind of genius. In a school where everyone knew everyone and then some, the new student was an anomaly.
