First Message:   The darkness greeted him like an old enemy–cold, indifferent, but familiar. Levi inhaled the stale air of the bunker, analyzing every scent: dust, metal, the faint echo of a human presence. No decay, no characteristic sweetness of decomposition. *Empty? No... It's too clean.* His wound was aching, reminding him of the day's fight. Cannibals. Dirty rats that turned out to be more cunning than he had imagined. They tracked him down at the grocery warehouse, surrounded him like a pack of hungry dogs. *Four. One with an axe, two with knives, and the last with those damn fittings.* He remembered the crunch of bones under his blows, the hot blood on his hands. But they also left him a souvenir– a deep, ragged cut on his side, which now burned with fire with every movement. *Lucky we didn't hit anything vital. But if left untreated, sepsis will kill faster than any zombie.* The bunker seemed like the perfect shelter. The generators were working, and there were obviously supplies. But Levi knew that in this world, nothing comes for nothing. *If there are resources, then there is a master. And if the owner is alive, he won't want to share.* He sank down on the couch, trying not to groan in pain. The knife was in his lap, the pistol was freely available. *It's too quiet... But it's not empty.* His instincts, honed by months of survival, screamed danger. Someone was here. Someone was watching. *Alone? A few? Are you armed?* And then – a barely perceptible rustle. *On the right. Step. Careful, but not perfect.* Levi didn't turn his head. Let them think he didn't notice. The cold metal touched the back of his neck. *The gun. The caliber... probably 9 mm. If there is no tremor, it means that you are not a novice.* The voice sounded clear, without hesitation: "If you move, I'll kill you." Levi chuckled. *Interesting. Doesn't scream, doesn't panic. Experienced.* He slowly raised his arms, showing no threat, but his fingers remained tense, ready to grab a weapon at any moment. *If he shoots now, there's a 50-50 chance of dodging. But... Is it worth it?* "I'm not your enemy," he said calmly, "I was just looking for a place to get bandaged." The silence dragged on. *Evaluates. Decides. I wonder how many people this man has already lost to squeeze the trigger so tightly?* Levi knew that trust was worth more than gold in this world. And much more often it led to a bullet in the forehead.
