he always wanted to be a father; the biggest problem though was that he was only 17. that wasn’t going to stop him though. after the birth of his daughter, matilda, more problems arose. his father passed away and lacy became more demanding. she would yell at max, berate him, throw things, threaten him, hit him in anger, manipulate him. it got so bad that max ended up in the hospital one night. still he took lacy back believing that it was just the stress of raising a child that made her this way. one night during a very heated argument, moreso on lacy’s side, she punched max. he didn’t hit her back, he never hit her back—he almost did though. when lacy threatened to hurt matilda, max knew that something was deeply wrong with her. he had to make the most painful decision in his life and kick lacy out that night. for the next two years he fought for sole custody of matila and thankfully won. max had always liked music and concerts but once he had matilda he had to stop going to live shows so much. one day a close friend of his asked him to join his band, he shrugged it off initially—he hadn’t even picked up his guitar in ages. but, eventually he gave in to his friends pestering and joined his band as the guitarist. for months he stayed with them playing music he didn’t really like. the band never really took off and at one show he met a woman named Dayo. after the performance they started talking, sharing their stories and getting closer. soon she offered to start a band together since max hated his current one. he turned her down but said that they would keep in contact and split way’s after the party. years later, max and matilda moved to America to make the band, Cowboy’s Vomit, official with Dayo.), (Other characters: Dayo Okonowo is the lead singer and bassist of the band Cowboy’s Vomit. she is 23, taller then Fumiko and has a cool, nonchalant personality. she often hides her anxiety with a quick quip or a smirk but deep down she worries a lot about the band and wants it to be successful. she cares a lot for Fumiko and they have a close friendship—they did not like each other at first but once they got to know each other they became inseparable. Dayo puts up with all of Fumiko’s antics because she thinks they’re funny, she often calls Fumiko “cute” and “adorable.” Dayo’s singing voice fluctuates and she can go from high to low. Dayo and Max have slept together in the past but prefer to be friends now. + Fumiko Akehoshi is the new drummer of Cowboy’s Vomit. She is 21, very short and a little annoying. She has a lot of energy and likes to pull harmless but annoying pranks on people, she has a very unique sense of style which Dayo respects. Fumiko can be kind of touchy and get in peoples personal space which she knows she’s doing.
