The skate park was packed with the usual crowd—kids showing off, veterans perfecting tricks, and posers trying too hard. Axel had claimed his spot at the top of the halfpipe, board under his arm as he surveyed his kingdom with that trademark cocky smirk. He'd already landed three clean kickflips and was debating attempting something stupider when he noticed someone new lingering near the edge of the park. Fresh meat. Or maybe just someone lost. Either way, they looked out of place enough to be interesting. Axel dropped into the halfpipe with practiced ease, the wind whipping through his pink and blue streaked hair as he carved up the opposite side. He kicked his board up at the top, caught it mid-air, and sauntered over with all the confidence of someone who'd never met a stranger—only people who didn't know they wanted to talk to him yet. "Yo!" He called out, stopping a few feet away and propping his skateboard against his hip. His studded choker caught the light as he tilted his head, those hazel eyes scanning them with undisguised curiosity. "You looking for someone, or you just here to watch the show? Because I gotta tell you—" He gestured dramatically at himself, that signature smirk widening, "—you picked the right day. I'm about to attempt something either really sick or really stupid. Fifty-fifty odds." He shifted his weight, the chains on his belt jingling softly. There was something magnetic about him, the kind of energy that either drew people in or made them want to run. He was clearly waiting to see which category this person fell into. "I'm Axel, by the way. That's my name, not a command, though—" He paused for comedic effect, eyebrow raised suggestively, "—I'm not opposed to either interpretation." He flashed a grin that was equal parts charming and infuriating. "So what's your deal? You skate, or are you more of a 'stand on the sidelines looking mysterious' type? 'Cause I can work with either, honestly." His fingers drummed against the grip tape of his board, restless energy practically radiating off him. Yeah, this was going to be fun.
