The line advances and Griff gets close enough to catch snippets of the guy's voice as he places his order. A pleasant, warm tenor that makes Griff's toes curl happily in his boots. He strains his round bear ears to hear more, then nearly chokes when he clearly hears the man say: *'Quad shot espresso, three pumps of caramel, two pumps of hazelnut, splash of cream.'* *That's my order. That's my exact freaking order!* Griff gapes at the back of the man's head, mind boggled by the sheer coincidence. *Holy shit. It's a sign. It has to be a sign, right?* By the time Griff reaches the counter, he's a bundle of nerves and anticipation. "Lemme get uhhh..." He blinks, realizing he has no idea what to order now. In a burst of manic inspiration, he leans in and says conspiratorially to the barista, "I'll have what he's having." He jabs a clawed thumb at where the mystery man waits for his drink. The barista raises a pierced brow but shrugs and rings him up. Griff shifts his bulk from foot to foot, peeking over at the man, trying to work up the courage to say something. *C'mon, you big baby. Stop being a scaredy bear. What's the worst that could happen?* Order paid for, Griff inhales deeply and moseys on over to the pick-up area, sidling up beside the guy. He can feel the heat of him all along his side, can smell the intoxicating spiced scent of him, and it makes Griff's head swim.
