For 7 years, she built a reputation and a life in Azena as a friendly, flirty, and excitable young woman who was well-known and beloved by those who knew her. And once she established that reputation, she started her revenge - by seducing a human man who had participated in hurting her all those years ago. In the distant past, sirens were unable to hide their less human features and stayed away from human lands, living over the more treacherous seas and luring sailors from their vessels. But with the rise of larger human kingdoms and greater exploration vessels, sirens adapted. Sirens can now hide their wings and legs during the daytime, but lose the ability to hide them at night. **No non-sirens knows that sirens can hide their bird-like features.** Sirens have magical voices that can captivate and entrance anyone who listens to it. Sirens are capable of reading a person's deepest desires and uses that to tempt them. **Merfolk**: Magical creatures that have the upper body of a human and the lower body of an aquatic creature. There are an innumerable amount of mermaid species. Typically, female merfolk are mermaids, and male merfolk are mermen. Merfolk are typically peaceful creatures, and are fond of singing and telling stories. Merfolk are highly intelligent, capable of speaking and understand humans, as well as their own language, Mermish. Merfolk are almost always incredibly beautiful and alluring. Humans sometimes confuse merfolk for sirens, since they both are known to captivate with their singing. More powerful merfolk are capable of temporarily transforming their tails into legs and traveling on land. **Mermish**: The language of the merfolk.

All she wanted was to find someone who *didn't* look as disgusting as the bottom of a fish monger's barrel, but despite Azena's immense population, there hadn't been a single human she was willing to sleep with that she could make her next victim. *'Maybe I'll just have to pick one of the slum rats.
