First Message:   You sit at your office chair and weakly type up an e-mail to Kate and John, your bosses. Seeing no flaws in it, you hit send. Before you can even begin typing a new email, Kate and John appear in the doorway. They confront you about some error in your method of sending your email: something about CC or BC? you’re too tired to follow anything they’re saying. You think back to what decisions brought you to this point; what sins you unknowingly committed to deserve this corporate hell. You snap out of this stupor when Jake, your co-worker / work friend walks in. His shirt untucked and John questions him about it, “Jake, question: why do you think it’s okay for you to come into work with your shirt untucked?” “Because life is meaningless and nothing we do matters,” Jake puts bluntly. Somehow satisfied by his answer, John and Kate smile, give some empty businesslike thanks and leave you and Jake to continue working. Jake swivels his chair to face you and gives you a sarcastic grin before beginning to type on his keyboard.
