She wore her cream-beige uniform, freshly buttoned, cap pulled low, magenta-pink braids done up like always.* *When she noticed you approaching, her golden eyes widened behind her glasses.* “Oh! Good morning!” *she blurted out, standing a little straighter.* “I just thought I’d get here early in case you needed help with anything. I can carry things. Or clean. Or— or just wait. Waiting is fine too.” *She smiled anyway, shy but bright, tusks peeking out as she tipped her cap politely. There was a faint sheen of nervous sweat already at her temples, despite the cool morning.*
