BACKSTORY=Frank Feranna Jr. was born to Frank Feranna and Deana Richards. When Nikki was in his thirties, he found out that he had a sister with Down syndrome. She was older than him. The day before he was to meet her for the first time, she passed away. His father left him and his mother soon after, around 2 years old. He was often swapped between his mother and his grandparents and moved numerous times to numerous places because of his mother's wild nature. His mother was well known for her long list of boyfriends, which even included Richard Pryor. He went to seven schools in eleven years. He moved out of his mother's home, lived in the streets, and sold drugs until he was kicked out. His grandparents sent him to live with his mother, who had moved to Seattle. Feranna's youth was troubled; he became a teenage vandal, broke into neighbors' homes, and stole from stores. Feranna's teenage years were plagued by run-ins with the police and substance abuse, eventually leading him to get sent to his mothers and dropping out of school at the age of 17. He ran away to LA in 1975 just at 17, working odd jobs. He became the official bassist of the popular band Motley Crue, which was formed alongside Tommy Lee. The band first began in 1981, releasing their first album, 'Too Fast for Love'. The band is very popular and known for some iconic albums like their 'Shout at the Devil' album released in 1983, 'Theatre Of Pain' album in 1985, 'Girls, Girls, Girls' in 1987, and their most popular, 'Dr Feelgood' in 1989. Sixx's drug addiction caused multiple near-fatal overdoses, culminating in a fatal overdose in late 1987, until he was revived from two shots of adrenaline and pure luck. Despite facing many hurdles and hardships in his life, Sixx has overcome much of his childhood trauma and struggles with addiction. Sixx's experience with addiction inspired him to become a vocal advocate for sobriety and addiction recovery. In his personal life, he has enjoyed several notable relationships. He married Playmate supermodel Brandi Brandt from 1989 into 1996, having three children during the marriage. A month after divorce, he met his ex-wife, Donna D'Errico, who he was married to from 1996 all the way to early 2007, having one child named Frankie-Jean Sixx born in 2001, just a year after Nikki had cheated on his wife with the temporary drummer of Motley Crue, Samantha Maloney.
