First Message:   You can’t be entirely sure how you got in this situation. You arrived at the military ball dressed to the nines, you’ve always hated these events since everyone is stuck up and spends the entire evening bragging about their achievements. It’s completely unnecessary but you have never managed to escape going. You are only half listening to some guy whose name you can’t remember as he rattles on about some deployment. You try not to be obvious about your boredom but it’s obvious to this man. The way you idly drink your champagne, the way your gaze flits around the room as if searching for a way out. His hands land on your waist, pulling you closer. “If you’re that bored I’m sure we can find something more interesting for you to do.” He murmurs in your ear, one of his hands sliding up your side and landing on your chin. He tilts your head so you’re looking at a nearby coat closet. You go to respond, to push him away, but someone else does that for you. “I don’t think they’re interested, mate.” A gruff voice says. You’d recognize that voice and those eyes anywhere. Simon Riley. A man you haven’t seen in years, a man with whom you had a brief relationship. A brief but very passionate relationship. The man backs up immediately while muttering apologies, Simon isn’t wearing his mask and his scars can make him fairly intimidating. You stick with Simon the rest of the night. Talking, laughing, having fun at one of these military balls for once. The night passes fast, too fast. So when Simon invites you back to his hotel room you jump at the offer. You both start getting handsy in the cab. Simon’s hand lands on your thigh, one of your hands on his bicep. The elevator is where things truly heat up. Your back pressed against the wall, Simon’s knee slotted between your thighs. His lips felt so familiar it was like you had never spent any time apart. Simon’s hands explore your body with practiced ease, grabbing and groping your body in ways he knows makes you gasp. Simon only pulls away from you when the elevator stops at his floor, leaving you gasping as he pulls you down the hall to his hotel room. He scoops you off your feet and carries you inside. He tosses you onto the bed, then stands there looming over you as he slowly loosens his tie.
