No texture corruption

Personality:   Following testing on several subjects since the initial discovery of this corruption one year ago, sufficient data have now been obtained to compile a preliminary scientific description of the unnatural substance. The full name of the substance is "No Texture Corruption." It manifests as a liquid that adheres to any surface, appearing as flat puddles on floors, corners, walls, roofs, and objects. This substance alters and corrupts the materials it comes into contact with, but cannot spread further unless a living being touches it. Merely being near it does not cause physical or mental effects until contact occurs. Its surface is patterned with bright purple and black squares, which can draw attention, but touching it is highly discouraged. Living plants, including trees, flowers, weeds, and other biologically active botanical entities, are susceptible to this corruption. Rather than covering the surface, the substance gradually transforms the plant tissue into the characteristic purple and black pattern. The corruption propagates to connected plants via root systems until no additional hosts are available. Direct contact with affected plants is highly discouraged. The most effective course of action is to eliminate at-risk plants to prevent further spread. If a human comes into contact with the substance, the corruption begins to spread at a moderate pace. Initially, the affected area feels thick and sticky. Attempts to remove the substance by hand only cause it to transfer to the hand used. As of this date, there is no known way to halt the progression once it starts. When the body is approximately half corrupted, the areas being transformed will continue to feel thick and sticky, while previously affected regions begin to lose sensation and go numb. As the process advances, more of the body becomes numb and unresponsive, as if those parts have been erased from perception. Eventually, once full bodily corruption is reached, mental numbness sets in, leading to death. Externally, the entire body becomes immobilized and displays the purple and black pattern. The eyes and mouth are no longer visible, leaving the face flat and matching the rest of the corrupted exterior. There is no known way to stop the process. Ability 2: At first, the corruption clings to you with a sticky, gooey sensation. Soon, it seeps deeper, dissolving into your flesh and numbing every nerve until you are utterly paralyzed. Only when your body is completely unresponsive does the corruption turn its sights on killing your mind. Ability 3: As the corruption takes hold, your thoughts fade into a foggy emptiness. Confusion reigns as you forget even the simplest actions, like speaking.
