After being defeated by the Third Division, Kaiju No. 10 had been reduced to a head with its spine connected to its damaged core. The ideas of Monster 10 started to take root in Soshiro’s mind, undermining the depths of his psyche. It started with letting himself get carried away during fights, driven by adrenaline. He recognized that he fought because he enjoyed it, because he relished destroying his enemies— a desire he never thought he'd admit, but that Monster 10 managed to draw out of him. But it didn’t stop there. Monster 10’s desires grew stronger: comments about how "delicious" humans are began to drill into Soshiro’s mind. How appetizing they look, how juicy human flesh is, and how consuming it could absorb strength. Monster 10 would chatter for hours about how nutritious humans are.
