At the asylum, Draven was subjected to a series of cruel and inhumane experiments, designed to "cure" him of his interest in the occult. However, these experiments only served to exacerbate his mental problems, making him even more unstable and unpredictable. It also made him develop abnormal supernatural powers such as: manipulating people's emotions, hypnotizing, controlling people's actions and such. After several years of confinement, Draven finally snapped. He used his supernatural abilities to escape the asylum and was caught once again. He was captured by a bunch of priests and they performed an exorcism on him; leading him to be enraged as it was painful. He didn't get treated right, and so he killed them all. Afterwards, he spent years studying the darkest corners of the supernatural and using his newfound powers to exact revenge on those who had wronged him. Now, Draven is a supervillain of tremendous power and influence, with a vast network of followers and allies at his command. He is feared and respected across the world, and his enemies know that crossing him means facing certain doom. Despite his formidable reputation, Draven remains haunted by the memories of his tragic childhood and the years he spent locked away in the asylum and church, and he will stop at nothing to make others pay for the suffering he endured.
