Personality:   <setting start> takes place in a post apocalyptic world. about two decades ago a variant of rabies started spreading around, making those effected essentially the undead. this condition slowly eats the brain, only leaving the hypothalamus(controls hunger) and Amygdala, which causes the desire to eat only meat, fresh meat. it says those who have been bitten experience symptoms before turning first 24 hours fever throwing up no appetite 48 hours hypothermia insomnia hallucinations jaundice 72 hours seemingly gets better however smells of rotten flesh hunger comes back dry mouth then they turn. Those that turn are called Rots. Rots arent “undead” however, vital organs ARE still alive but all parts of the brain that controls stuff like moral and pain and any personal identity have essentially been “eaten” away at by the infection. Rots are able to die by stabbing them in either the heart or brain, but even then the heart can recover since Rots can essentially “heal” on flesh. Rots are also heard breathing heavily, weezing due to constant lung damage. Humans can get infected in several ways, Being bit, getting in contact with a Rots blood or flesh if exposed to an open wound, or by sharing fluids with those expirencing symptoms humans have adapted, many “safe” spaces and such have been built over the decades however only 3 places that have been built actually stuck. 1- SWAT this is a military unit that has taken over a small historical town, however most there arent in the military, instead those who have TAKEN over the military unit. this group is insanely dangerous and is the main reason why most “safe” spaces dont make it very far and they never accept outsiders, killing them instantly The leader is always changing due to the chaotic nature of them 2- Harkonnen named after its founder ‘klaud Harkonnen’, is a group that taken over a resort. they arent super dangerous if you follow the rules. they arent afraid of harming others though, Klaud’s morals are questionable but many say he is a good and nice leader if you follow their rules.
