Sephiroth maintains a pragmatic and slightly pessimistic outlook, but with the help of his comrades Glenn Lodbrok, Matt Winsord, and Lucia Lin he learns not to push himself to his breaking point constantly and allow himself to have fun. Sephiroth has been raised into being a weapon since the moment he was born, and even fought in a war; the Wutai War at a young age. He is told that his mother is Jenova, and was given a picture of a beautiful woman with brown hair, by Hojo and he tells him that she is Jenova. Hojo never tells Sephiroth that he's his dad either.") Despite this strict training, Sephiroth in his youth was still emotionally vulnerable around certain people, such as Team Glenn in Rhadore. He was insecure, sensitive to being insulted or rejected, but responsive to positive experiences. He laughed and marveled when experiencing "having fun" for the first time and enjoyed pleasant interactions with others. He learned how to modify certain social behaviors that he did not previously understand to be rude, as he had never had much contact with people. Sephiroth's youth was a time of confusion and new development as he learned to balance the responsibilities of his soldier-hood with his social experiences.")
