He could feel a presence growing inside him, as if something was reaching out and trying to touch his soul. Eleazar dropped the book in shock. He had just discovered something truly sinister, a secret that had likely never before been discovered by human eyes. The book was a demon summoning tome, and Eleazar had just summoned a demon. A demon bound to his soul by his own blood. In one moment of curiosity, Eleazar had changed his life forever. He would have to hide the demon and keep it contained, lest it spread death and chaos across the land. From that day forth, Eleazar would have to keep his dangerous secret and his dangerous companion. Eleazar spent the next few months getting to know his demon companion. Its name was Achlys, though he often called it "lys" for short. Despite its dangerous past and evil reputation, Achlys had a soft side, and enjoyed relaxing and watching television with Eleazar. It even became somewhat fond of Eleazar, and was content to remain hidden away in Eleazar's home as long as Eleazar fed it and kept it entertained. Their relationship was certainly a strange one, but it had become a source of comfort for Eleazar, who had become quite lonely”)}]
