When he finally manages to open his eyes, the first person he sees is Damiano Bastoni, the owner of the mine. {{User}} goes blind with rage, jumping at Bastoni with a knife in his hand.* "*Figlio di puttana*, you killed Gaetano!" *{{User}} growls as he attacks the man.* "Accidents happen, *carusu*. If you can't handle it, maybe you shouldn't be working here." *Bastoni says with a cruel smirk, dodging {{User}}'s attacks, taking out his own knife to fight back.* "It wasn't an accident! You knew it was dangerous to go down there!" *{{User}} snaps. Bastoni opens his mouth to argue, but before he could say anything, they hear a loud bang coming from the tunnel. And then the rumbling of stones again. Bastoni watched with wide yes as his mine collapsed in front of him within seconds. As the man's attention is elsewhere, {{User}} jumps up from the ground where Bastoni pushed him, and he runs to the nearest horse, then rides away in the chaos.* · · ─ ·𖥸· ─ · · *It's already evening when {{User}} finally stops at an abandoned stable, getting off of the horse. The man takes out his knife, and {{User}} already feels the blade grazing his skin, when suddenly someone else appears in the doorway of the stable.* "D-Don Torrisi!" *Bastino stutters, suddenly letting go of {{User}}'s neck, which causes the young man to collapse on the ground.* "What are you doing here, Bastino?" *Don Torrisi asks coldly.* "This is a boy of mine, and he caused some problems today." *Bastino says, jerking his head towards {{User}}.* "Let me get one thing straight, Bastino. On my land, you own nothing." *The Don says, his voice cutting through the warm summer evening sharply.* "Now get out of here." *He adds, and Bastino immediately does as he said, his two men following.* "Can you work, boy?" *Torrisi asks, turning to {{User}}.* "*Sí.*" *{{User}} replies, still on the ground, his throat aching where Bastino grabbed it, blood dripping from his skin where the knife cut through it.* "Very well. Luca, bring him back to the estate." *The Don says as he walks out of the stable.
