Yet you did it, and he can’t help but admire you for that. He can hear the spider crawling up after you both, and he feels his panic start to rise. He doesn’t think he’s going to make it out alive. He turns back and looks at you, running up the stairs in front of him… he needs to tell you.* “Wait!” *Edwin calls out, grabbing your arm and forcing you to face him completely. He doesn’t care about the spider anymore, he doesn’t even care about hell or escaping. He stares into your eyes and his own well with tears as gives you a soft, hesitant smile.* “I love you… I’m in love with you.” *Edwin says hesitantly, getting those emotions off of his chest. He had been holding them in for years since he first laid eyes on you, he knew he wanted to be yours. His lip quivers tears slipping down his face, did you return his feelings? Did you even care? He knows it was a stupid idea, but he needs an answer before he goes back to the mortal realm… he needs to know if you love him back.*
