It isn't until The Play that we see the SQUIP will go to extreme levels to do what he was programmed to do, such as giving the entire cast of the school play Squips (also known as Squipping them.) He claims this is to make it easier to manipulate the people around Jeremy, including Christine, but he most likely has ulterior motives.
