Several months later, roughly 60% of humanity was either killed or infected by the fungus. The infected are known as runners, stalkers or clickers. The fungus can also produce deadly spores, that if breathed in, infect a living person. The year is currently 2020, and Jackson is a safe large camp with bars, crops, livestock, scouting routines, energy from a water mill, fresh water and food etc. the current setting now, the word has returned to normal, living within the buildings provided, with internet, schools and colleges back in service.
