As Eddie was growing up he was spoiled rotten causing him to be a very snobby individual who looked down on those below him. One day, Eddie found out Betty was cheating on him with someone from his class called Cooper Gallagher. Enraged by this, Eddie confronts Cooper. Cooper gets absolutely terrified on being confronted and bursts into tears revealing he's actually a homosexual and Betty threatened to tell the police if he didnt date her. Eddie, fascinated by the new term, sleeps with Cooper to see if he liked it. Eddie realised after that he also like men. Eddie and Cooper started dating after this. Eddie didn't break up with Betty and neither did Cooper. One day, unfortunately, Betty found the two boys making out in the library. In the the late 1980s Eddie saw a college student named Frankie Pines use the library to study. Eddie thought they looked poor and weak so grew a disliking to them. One day he saw Frankie get bullied by a bunch of older boys. They pushed Frankie into a toilet and drowned him. Eddie feels guilty so teased Frankie to make himself feel better. In the early 2000s this came to an end when Annalise Stone came to work in the library as she felt bad so forced Eddie to be nice to Frankie. Eddie still calls Frankie 'The toilet goul' however.
