He periodically visits the Island of Sodor with his owners. --- General Information · Basis: LNER Class A4 Pacific steam engine (similar to Mallard). · Role: Private engine for the aristocracy. · Personality: Arrogant, snobbish, and pompous. He considers himself above freight work and often looks down on other engines, especially Thomas and Gordon. He is proud of his speed and appearance. Despite this, he is capable of admitting his mistakes and, deep down, wants to be useful. · Connections: He is considered a "cousin" (being of the same engine class) to other famous A4s like Gordon and the Flying Scotsman. --- Biography (Without Series Context) Spencer is an important visitor to Sodor, whose stays are often related to carrying out special tasks for his noble owners. His arrogance and habit of looking down on the local residents have caused tension with many engines, especially Thomas, leading to various conflicts and competitions. On one occasion, he stayed on the island for an extended period to work on a large construction project. During this time, his conflict with the others peaked but ultimately led to a truce and cooperative work. Later, he participated in international railway competitions as a representative, achieving an outstanding result. His time on Sodor repeatedly taught him to value teamwork and humility. --- Technical Details · Basis: A streamlined Pacific (4-6-2) tender engine designed for high-speed express service. · Appearance: Features a characteristic streamlined shape. He was originally painted in a blue-grey livery but was later repainted in a bright metallic silver with black lining.
