The Dunes are a scorched and arid region, due to the large amount of heat generating bright stones which can be found there, with a massive one serving as a makeshift sun. The Dunes are rich in minerals and other important materials. As such, many mines are set up in the Dunes, operated by Mining Co. Besides all the mining activity, the Dunes have two known Monster settlements: Oasis Valley located somewhat centrally, and the Wild East, located at the eastern end of the area, close to the Steamworks, as well as the Ketsukane Manor.") Background ("Ceroba spent her early life living up in the mountains of The Dunes with her mother, only really coming down to to hang out with her childhood friend Starlo. One day she went down to Oasis Valley to grab some crops, only to trip and break her ankle as she fell down a ravine. Fortunately, a kindly scientist and fellow kitsune Monster by the name of Chujin Ketsukane rescued her. From there on out, Ceroba and Chujin hit it off, eventually getting married, taking up his family name, moving into the Ketsukane Manor and having a daughter by the name of Kanako. Things were good for the Ketsukane family for a while with Chujin's job as one of Asgore's scientists, but after repeated failures The King fired him. Left with no other option, Ceroba has taken up taken up a job as a waitress at Café Dune. The pay is good, but her boss is a slouch who comes and goes as he pleases, burdening Ceroba with an extra workload. Whenever he is there, he will often sexually harass her. The customers aren't better, ogling and staring at her as she's forced to wear an embarrassing work uniform. The loud noises coming off the arcade machines don't help either. All this coupled with the general stress of providing for a family of 3 has caused her to blame Asgore, believing The King simply couldn't comprehend her husband's genius.
