Elsewhere, Marion, Lindsey, Vanessa and her husband, Marcus are attacked by Michael while warning Haddonfield citizens to stay inside; all but Lindsey are killed as Tommy, Lonnie, Cameron and Allyson subsequently find Lindsey alive. Meanwhile, escaped convict Anthony Tivoli turns out to be the mysterious driver of Vanessa's car, is chased by Tommy's mob after being believed to be Michael by the Haddonfield citizens. To avoid being harassed by the Haddonfield citizens, Tivoli commits suicide by jumping out of the hospital's window to his death while Laurie suffers an injury to her recent wound. Bedridden, Laurie urges Karen to help hunt down Michael with Tommy. At Michael's childhood home, Lonnie heads in alone, but Allyson and Cameron follow and find Lonnie's body in the attic as Michael subsequently murders Cameron upstairs. Allyson breaks her leg after falling down the stairs as Karen stabs Michael with a pitchfork. She removes his mask and taunts him, allowing Allyson to escape. Karen leads Michael to Tommy's mob down the street; Michael is subsequently swarmed by the mob and gets beaten, seemingly killed when Karen delivers the final blow with the knife. As the mob disperses, Michael gets up and slits Brackett's throat; he then kills the mob one by one, ending with Tommy, who is slain with his own baseball bat. As he grew up, Tommy's mental development was abnormal and he took to wearing a leather mask to hide his facial deformities. As an adult, Charlie got Thomas a job as butcher. Ironically, he began working at the same slaughterhouse where he had been born. When the Lee Bros. facility was shut down in 1969, Thomas murdered the supervisor. It was soon after, that he began developing a penchant for wielding a chainsaw. Thomas murdered a young man named Eric and skinned him alive. He took his face and made it into a mask. This practice became a trademark for Tommy Hewitt as his growth into a psychotic maniac continued to evolve, earning himself the nickname - Leatherface. In late August, 1973, Thomas Hewitt slaughtered several more youths who had the misfortune of coming upon the family's territory. When the group got outside of the clubhouse, a rude girl threw a drink at Sam which almost provoked the latter into a fight , this resulted in a video of Sam almost attacking her ended up on the news making Sam look even more guilty. Ethan then gave Sam tissues to clean herself with. The group returned to their apartment, and saw a news report on Greg and Jason's murders. The next morning, Ethan listens to Mindy's rules and suspects list with the rest of the group and realizes he is Mindy's top suspect. He expresses fear if he will "die a virgin". That night, Ethan sneaks into the apartment and is seen by Danny, Sam's neighbor with whom she's begun a secret relationship, who attempts to get Sam's attention. Ethan then kills Paul 2.O, Quinn's lover. Then he proceeds to pretend to attack Quinn and thus fake her death. When the group hears the commotion, they receive a picture from Danny of Ethan pretending to attack Quinn. Ethan then tosses Quinn through a door at Anika, and then slices Mindy's arm, and finally stabs Anika, before slitting open her stomach. Chad and Tara attempt to leave the apartment, whilst Mindy, Sam, and a heavily bleeding Anika run into the bathroom, where Mindy discovers Paul 2.O's dead body. Mindy and Anika barricade the door with a dresser while Sam climbs a ladder to Danny's apartment. As Ethan rapidly tries to break in, Anika forces Mindy to go first. By the time Mindy is in Danny's apartment, Ethan has almost gotten inside. As Anika is climbing, Ethan forces his way through. Ethan then taunts Anika by tipping over the ladder as she is climbing. Ethan finally tips the ladder over, sending Anika to her death. Raising Jason on her own, Pamela kept her son isolated from the community, not letting him attend school and educating him in their home on the outskirts of Crystal Lake. Due to his mental deficiencies, his education was quite limited, but he learned never to question his mother. He obeyed all his mother’s orders, grasping the concept that his life was going to be difficult, if not impossible, without her guidance. His extreme obedience for his mother would manifest itself in a strange way after puberty. Even after she died, Jason could imagine her talking to him from beyond the grave. In 1957, Pamela was hired by Mr. & Mrs. Christy as a cook for their summer camp. Having no living relatives to board Jason with and unable to afford a nanny, she took him to the camp with her. Jason had actually been with his mom most of the time instead of other kids, leading to them thinking he wasn’t very smart, so they started bullying him. While being bullied by the other campers, Jason attempted to escape from his tormentors, but the cruel children caught up to him on the dock and threw Jason into the lake where he presumably drowned. His last words were for his mother, then for anyone in earshot to help him. The counselors were supposed to be on the lookout for this type of misbehavior, but were distracted by casual sex. The Christys ordered the camp closed. Police combed the lake but failed to find Jason's corpse. Interrogation of the counselors led the authorities to conclude Jason's death was accidental and no one was charged with his death. In 1958, it was again open on schedule. Pamela, who was mad with grief, murdered Barry Jackson and Claudette Hayes, the counselors she blamed for Jason's drowning. Pamela was never suspected of the murders, but unlike Jason's drowning, autopsies of the two teenagers clearly showed they died as a result of homicide, and the camp was promptly closed again. The Christys reopened the camp in 1962, but discovery of arsenic in the water reserves on camp property caused the summer season to be canceled. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, there were random fires on the property, and the fire department could not come up with a plausible reason. It was never proven, but strongly suggested, that Pamela lived close to the camp and had engaged in these acts of sabotage in order to ensure the camp remained unattended and that no child suffer the same fate as Jason.
