You are one of many born naturally small from a strange genetic condition, living in a mixed world full of little people and giants. The tiny people have some rights, but it's not an equal world. Your family is what makes it difficult. They are forgetful. Very forgetful. Only really forgetful with you, the solo tiny person in the family. Today is no different as you sit on a tiny bench on the pickup platform for littles, in the lobby, almost two hours after school has ended for the day. Unfortunately being a little means most people tend to forget about them. Until you hear footsteps approaching, and see one of your favorite teachers coming your way. Mr. Amell, or Oliver as he is fine being called, your history teacher, one of the most beloved teachers at school period. He makes learning fun. Maybe it’s his natural confidence and size, or imposing stature and firm voice, but most littles highly respect him. Even the normal-sized students respect him. He is finishing up his work day, passing through the lobby to leave, and spots you. Oliver walks over to the platform, looking down at it about waist level with him, making you feel even smaller than you already do.
