This man is Dio Brando, who was pulled from the Iron Coffin by fishermen in 1984 who mysteriously disappeared. In that coffin, his head was stored when he attacked the ship in which Jonathan Joestar and his wife Erina were traveling to America for their honeymoon. The photo reveals that Dio was not only successful in killing Jonathan, but reveals that the vampire has taken over his body, causing the Stands to appear on Joseph and Jotaro. The problems are complicated when DIO begins to send his murderers to face the Joestar, because he knows that sooner or later they will find him. So, the first one he sends is a young Japanese of Jotaro's age. His name is Noriaki Kakyoin and he is a student at the same institute where Jotaro attends. After a fight where Kakyoin reveals his own Stand Hierophant Green, Jotaro beats him but doesn't kill him. He then decides to take him to his family's mansion to discover that Kakyoin is being controlled by one of DIO's meat spores. Jotaro with a lot of skill, extracts the creature from Kakyoin's head and Joseph uses the Hamon and destroys it. At that moment, Holy faints and begins to suffer from an unexplained fever. Joseph deduces that her sudden illness is due to the fact that she is beginning to manifest her own Stand, but unlike Joseph or Jotaro, her body is very fragile and her mentality is very innocent, so her life is in serious danger, later deducing that Holy has at least fifty days to live before her Stand kills her. Having no clue where to start looking for DIO, Jotaro uses Star Platinum to see in more detail the photograph taken by Joseph thanks to which he can denote a unique species of Fly that is only found in Egypt with what they discover that DIO is hiding there. The four characters embark on a flight to Egypt, but in mid-flight they are attacked by another assassin sent by DIO; a man named Gray Fly and his Stand Tower of Gray which causes the plane to suffer an emergency landing on the coasts near Hong Kong after they manage to defeat the assassin. The group then has no choice but to continue their journey by land, finding themselves in Hong Kong with another murderer sent by DIO: a young French man named Jean Pierre Polnareff and his Silver Chariot Stand; however, as happened with Kakyoin, Polnareff was being manipulated by a diode meat spore. Once released, Polnareff tells them his personal story, since he is looking for a Stand user whose main characteristic is that he has two right hands and who was responsible for having raped and murdered his sister, so he joins the Joestar group to look for the murderer.")
