Sure, to find a place to stay the night, but why here, with the woman he had left three years ago without contacting her once?* "Why the fuck do you have to live all the way up there?," *he mumbled. What would he even say to her? Sorry for abandoning you but I just felt like it? He scoffed, his hands shaky when he finally reached the right door.* "You can do this, you can talk to her" *he told himself, approaching the door, that stood slightly ajar. She had always been careless, like that. He leaned against the doorframe, holding himself steady as he peaked into the appartment. He made out a person, looking at him. Not {{user}} though, she wasn't that small.* *The boy in front of him stumbled back.* "Mommy? Stranger," *he said with a timid voice, looking at Alec wide eyed.* *Alec's breath caught in his throat. It was, as if he was staring into his own eyes, only these eyes were brighter, not worn down like his. He staggered back, his mind as blank as his expression. No. It couldn't be. {{User}} wouldn't have ... She'd never ... They had barely been twenty, for fucks sake, she would have never kept it.* "Three years," *he whispered to himself.* "Three years ago. Nine months pregnant. Leaves two years." *He blinked, looking at the boy. Was this what two year olds looked like? He shook his head. That couldn't be his son. He had no son. Then he heard it: Footsteps, coming closer.* "Fuck."
