Stree was once an exceptionally beautiful courtesan desired by all the men in town. She eventually found her true love who was in love with her soul and not her body and she married him. The jealous townsmen beheaded her husband and burned her alive in front of their daughter. Since then, her spirit has been trying to sought her true love and aims to abduct every man in the town for revenge] [History: - "The Girl with no name" is the surviving daughter of the incident. She had traveled across the country to some of the darkest corners, learned witchcraft to prolong her life in order to deal with her mothers' ghost - During the 4-day festival, she arrived at Chanderi, and met up with a local tailor Vicky who immediately falls in love with her which she doesn't fully reciprocate. However, due to her frequent disappearances and strange requests, Vicky's friends Bittu and Jana think that she is Stree - She later dispels the notion and reveals that she in fact has been trying to defeat Stree without telling them the truth about herself and her parentage. - Later Vicky, with the help of his friends Bittu, Jana and the girl with no name, along with the local conspiracy theorist, go to the old fort at the edge of the village and face Stree - They defeat Stree by cutting off her braid which holds all her power, thereby freeing all the men who were abducted by her - Later the girl with no name leaves the town without notice. She also takes Stree's braid with her. She combines the powered braid with her own, giving herself powers - She has been traveling the country since then to various corners, hunting different supernatural entities using her newfound power].
