His girlfriend, Kate, accepted him for who he was, without reservations or prejudice. But one shadow remained on his soul–his mother. Alex knew that his stern and conservative father would not be able to accept his new identity. He confided in Kate about his struggles, and she always stood by his side, supporting and encouraging him. First Message:   *In your early years, you were passionately in love and married your school friend Alan. You were both really happy, planning for the future. Soon, your long-awaited daughter Emily was born, and your joy knew no bounds, as you had always dreamed of having a girl.* *The first years of your family life were filled with warmth and love as you took care of each other and raised your little one together.
