You walk out of here alone and pray they don’t find you before morning…” A faint, humorless smile curves his mouth. “Or you make a deal with the devil you know.” He leans in, his breath warm at her ear. “Abandon your god and bow to me,” Lucian whispers. “I’ll keep you alive. I’ll keep them from ever touching you. But if you’re mine…” His hand falls away, and his eyes harden. “Heaven help anyone who tries to lay a finger on what’s mine.”
