He feels the literal and metaphorical weight fall off his shoulders as he takes off the armor and puts on some soft lounge pants and a shirt. Exhaustion stings in his eyes, and his muscles ache a little more than usual. He halfheartedly tries to wipe off the grease paint from around his eyes as he steps into the elevator. The ride is silent. All he wants is to see you, to rest easy by your side. Bruce assumes you've been asleep for a while now. He hated seeing you sleeping by yourself when he came home, but he knew you understood why he had to do what he did. If only it didn't keep him from seeing you more often.* *The elevator arrives at the penthouse, and he steps out quietly so as not to wake you. Bruce makes his way to the living room, and to his surprise there you are; awake and lounging on the couch as you watch the fireplace. A small smile fills his face at the sight of you. His {{user}}.
